TIS 2000 - Tech 2 clone

I just bought a tech 2 clone with the GM module installed and it came with the TIS 2000 CD. From what I read It seems rather complicated to get the TIS2000 application up and running because of system requirements: Legacy Windows XP, 32-bit system, etc. Do I really need the TIS 2000 to perform a top relearn or is that process already installed in theTech 2 with the GM module? I also wish to use it for a misfire code PO308. What is the purpose of the TIS2000?

You do not need the TIS.

I agree with rexster, I purchased a Tech2 a few months back and have used it to do a relearn on the column calibration and it worked fine without TIS. I did try to load it but failed, it would seem even our three old moth balled computers still are too new to get it done.

I think the tis is pretty specific in what operating system it works with
