Would like to put rims for a xlr-v on my 2005 basic xlr. Will they work ok without any modifications to the car?

yes, nothing was changed from a '05 base to a v-series as far as offsets, clearance, & spacing. Seen it done before, just cant find the picture for you.
What about gearing? As I understand it, the rear wheels are 19" on the V, vs. 18" on our base models.I would expect a rear-end gearing change would be entailed on a base model, or else live with about a 6% speedo error, and sluggish acceleration.

Speedo can be reprogrammed with a Tech II to accomodate the wheel size change. no need to change rear end gears.
What's the gear ratio in a v model?
