XLR head unit/cd changer replacement

When I bought the X, the cd changer always showed a "CD ERROR" when trying to load a cd. So I've been using my bluetooth adapter squirting a signal from my phone's media. Which still works great. But it's always in the back of my mind something on the car doesn't work and it needs repairing. Over the weekend I lucked out and won a complete XLR radio w/cd changer that is in pristine condition. I've been looking at them since buying the car and they've always been $500 on up. Repair to the cd changer brought in quotes of 400$ and up. The head unit and cd changer I won on Ebay was $137. My plans are just to change out the cd part of the system when I get the item. I might be able to sell the head unit back on eBay, otherwise I'll just keep the head unit in case the original one goes belly up.

When we bought our XLR,,,,cd changer worked fine while just putting in one cd and playing. When planning a long trip, we put in four more cd's and the 'Error' message came on and nothing played. Finally got the last three cd's to come out, but that first one remains stuck, and will not play.

After I got mine and got her home I checked the cd changer and got a present. I was full of Barry Manilo,rod Stuart,bee gees,and jimmy buffet. Definately told me the age of the previous owner. I actually found his address on some info in the manuals so I sent him all the CDs back. Didn't want him to be missing his top five CDs.
