XLR-V engine oil and super charger oil

Anyone know if V's take a heavier oil? I couldn't find anything about them on a search. Seems 5w30 is recommended for the 4.6 but my buddies supercharged cobra takes 20w50 from the factory so it has me apprehensive.


What type of oil goes in the supercharged reservoir? Is changing that pretty straight forward?

Supercharger reservoir is for coolant.

Different motors take different oils. A 50 weight is like molasses compared to the 30 weight. Stick with the correct oil. Then that 20 at starting against a 5, again, that is very heavy.

The oil in a supercharger is a special oil for the supercharger. Only ever fit the correct oil.
