I just got my "new" 2005 XLR with 23,000miles. Really enjoying it so far. Recently sold 1985 Vette (too much work) and am selling 2000 BMW Z3 (too small) I have scanned the TSB's for the 05' and there are a bunch. Any recommendations for ones that are serious and that should be corrected? ie. replace differential fluid due to noise? Thanks for any recommendations on the car.

If you contact Cadillac Tech, here on the forum with your VIN #, he can run a history report on your vehicle; which would tell you which items have or have not been taken care of, if your vehicle was experiencing problems.

Are TSB problems corrected by the dealer paid by GM even though the vehicle is out of warranty?

XLRJIM,

Technical Service Bulletin - This is the most common type of bulletin: It provides technicians required new service information. It provides a correction to a specific product problem and usually contains repair procedures, information on part numbers and availability, and warranty labor code information. The body of the bulletin will describe the condition, cause, and correction to the problem.

The only way it would be covered by GM or the dealership is if this problem has occurred under warranty.

Hope this information helps.

Thank you,
Caron, Cadillac Customer Service

Or a recall even if it is out of warranty.
