Is Certifed a scam?

I spoke to Customer assistance today, not much help. They said they will call me back on Wednesday to follow up on the progress. The car is not going to heal itself at my house. They would not recommend another dealer and said all dealers have the same amount of training.

Hopefully someone at Bowling Green (on the GM payroll) will be able to help.

I am a short step away from seeking legal action as I have no other recourse.

Next step, Call Cadillac Customer Relations, ask who your District Manager is and their phone number and email address. They may call them a Regional Manager or Zone Manager. This is the person from Cadillac that works directly with the dealers in your area. Mine here has already supplied me with the one in Arizona. I would also write a letter to the Chairman of the Board of General Motors and to the head man at Cadillac and start working from the top down. I am really appaled that you are having this much trouble. I would think this person that comes on the forum called Caron would be in there fighting for you. I have been in bed for seven days, saw the doctor today for more test trying to find out what is wrong, as soon as I am able I will stop by my dealer. PM me and tell me the two dealers that are giving you a bad time and I will see what I can do to help.

I will try and contact the District Rep. tomorrow. Caron did respond to me and started the case with Customer Assistance. I'm sure there is a process for everything and it will take time to get through the system.
Thanks for your interest, but take care of yourself first. I am working on a report to document everything that has happened so far and am planning on publishing it online after I get back from NCH.

I hope you feel better soon.

Unbelievable is all I can say!!! Simply UNBELIEVABLE!! I have never had a problem with my dealer here; the only thing is, there are not many XLR's here in Billings. Hence, the dealer doesn't work on many, but I really have had no problems. Except that the sensors for my top still are not in, after 2 weeks. Guess that's to be expected though, considering parts are probably getting somewhat scarce??

Mine's been on order for 2 weeks too ... :squint:

Just sent you a pm. Hope you can reply ASAP as help will be on the way as soon as I get your reply. Thanks, Robert

I am sure by now you have found out it doesn't take MY PEOPLE very long to make things happen for you and they are all going to be good things. I hope you can go to the Homecoming in Bowling Green with peace of mind your
XLR is going to be taken care of by Cadillac. It was good talking to you yesterday, have a great trip.

Off topic thought on your roof - ever take pics of it when it stops? I mean some from various views. Don't know if you've already thought of that or if it will help, but maybe that would help give a tech an idea of where to look/check.

Manual for my '06 says they come on every 5th use IF the headlamps are on. Better than an '08 STS which has them come on every 5th washer use no matter what. I usually don't want/need them washed.

On a different topic - Phrede, have you tried taking pics w/a camera phone or whatever from different angles when your roof stops? Maybe that would help a tech know where to try checking (maybe you've already tried that).

Thanks for the suggestion. I have supplied the dealer with pictures and details of the roof hang-up. I'm not trying to get them to "shotgun" the problem and replace all 4 sensors and clean the grounds.

Thought you'd probably already given that a shot. Hope they go w/the gun.
