Did you try a cleaning disc to clean the reader lens?

The CD player is definitely a weak link in the stock sound system. If a lens cleaner works, good on you.

I find not even using my CD player since the install of Bluetooth, since in today’s world you can pretty much find most any song out there! For $79 a year I prescribe to Amazon Music Unlimited and love it!

Use mine a lot. Just have to take it easy and follow the prompts when loading the CD's I think. Though, must admit, like Grand with the Amazon, I with the XM am using it less and less. Am all about auto options and just like all the options to work.

I agree I think everything should work , and I also use XM allot, by the way the CD cleaner from Amazon did seem to work
