opening the trunk lid without hydraulic assist

As he said. I had to do this several times to open the door (then hood) after the battery was drained flat. Use two hands and lift evenly to avoid twisting the trunk lid.

    Help! Traction control

I had the same doubt when another thread said to add fluid even if not at low line but with the low cost of the DOT3, I went ahead. BTW, I used a name brand DOT3 from the auto parts store rather than a dealer trip.

    Help! Traction control

I have a 2006 XLRV so YMMV. My reservoir is marked with raised letters and a line in the same plastic as the reservior. It is located towards the back of the reservoir of the fender side. If your reservoir is at all dirty, give it a good wipe first. My line is a touch below where the flat side...

    MP3 / iPod

The XM connector is behind the rear compartment between the seats, in interior compartment. Just four screws to remove. The cable runs free in the small gap to the center console. No drilling needed. PM an email if you would like pics to better explain.

    Hood wont stay up

    +1 on Stabilus. Excellent price/quality/delivery.

    MP3 / iPod

That what I thought when I bought the AUX2. However, after my harness install, the XM volume is lower when nothing is plugged in than it was before. I don't know if I have a bad connection in the harness or if the receptacle that does the XM/BT switching add resistance to the circuit lowering...

    MP3 / iPod

Another possibility is that your instructions and other people's no volume loss reports were written for the AUX1 harness and my install was the AUX2. The difference in the harness may affect the volume. Considering my experience and yours, I'd suggest using the AUX-1F VRT unless the owner...

    MP3 / iPod

I got all installed and am pretty happy with the result. On the amp, I think I followed the CC instructions and the volume was lower. Possibly the reason was I wanted to leave the phone at the volume I use for headphones rather than crank it to full. The amp fixed the issue though. I can switch...

    MP3 / iPod

My Kinivo is coming in today so I'll get to that part tonight. If you haven't worked with the type of connectors that the harness uses before, getting the connector off the XM box can be a challenge. I'd suggest plugging and unplugging the harness connectors from itself a few times to get...

    MP3 / iPod

Thanks. Needless to say, I din't wait long enough to time out. BTW, also thanks for sending the XLR instructions to Ray who forward them on to me after the order. They really helped a novice with the install

    MP3 / iPod

I just did the install using the Kawal AUX2-VRT harness. He also sells a fuse jumper that lets you change the 12v outlet for bluetooth to only be hot in the acc/run mode so the bluetooth isn't always on and run down the battery. It replaces fuse #35 in my 2006 xlr. the extra $10 for the jumper...

Remember sitting in line for gas?

Yep. My friends and I would go an hour before the pumps turned on, park by a pump and go next door to the Burger King to wait. Gas at $1 per gallon? Outrageous.
