    Valet switch

Update on valet experience: Everything went as smooth as could be desired. The Hotel Monteleone in NOLA has an entranceway into their multilevel garage off Royal St. that has an immediate covered area for 8-10 cars that can be viewed from the inside area through a series of large windows...

    Valet switch

Excellent idea... but am told it would need to be an "emergency" type situation such as a stolen vehicle to get involved in that capacity... that they don't monitor specific vehicles constantly... yada, yada, yada. Also, was told they couldn't even suspend my calling privileges for those two...

    Valet switch

Heh... I've considered that movie, no doubt ; ) I'll try to have everything I need in luggage, and will activate the valet mode and lock the glove box as a parting gesture. This is nice hotel and I'll "assume" a high level of professionalism exists, but will additionally attempt securing...

    Valet switch

In the nearly three years since acquiring my '06 V I've never been in a situation to use my glove box valet switch. I've read the few sentences in the manual, but always appreciate practical experience. I'll be using a valet service over two nights at a hotel in New Orleans (only option)...

Site Update: Supporting Memberships are now available

Perhaps just eliminate a logo altogether. The "Supporting Member" verbiage would apply to all who choose to participate, regardless of their vehicular persuasion.

    XLR Spoiler

Simply a curiosity... Was kicking around the D3 Cadillac site & noticed a spoiler installed on one of their images. There didn't appear to be a link toward acquiring one of these fabrications on their site. Perhaps they're no longer contributing significantly to the XLR market relative to body...

    Tire repair kits

Thanks, guys... I'm not particularly interested in donating an arm and leg to the GM cause just to have the logo. The Slime kit with air compressor may be the best option... plus a solid plug kit. I already keep an assembled tool kit in the trunk compartment, but will need to add this...

    Tire repair kits

I'd appreciate any recommendations for on-board tire repair kits from those of you using conventional tires with your XLR's. I've been fortunate thus far, but with the second fitting of tires on the near horizon, I want to add this to my hazard-control plan. I have On-Star and hazard...

Anyone want a SPECIAL GM Tool= 8 mm Hex wrench w T15 Torx

Sandy... My '06 V was missing this tool at purchase. I would like one if it happens to be OEM. We'll not be making the Bowling Green trip, but would happily cover any shipping/mailing costs incurred if there is enough interest to generate order. OR... in the event you do not order, perhaps...

    Factory Door Sill Nameplate XLR

I purchased my V Logo sill plates from Ebay for $60 each with no additional shipping costs. GM Parts Direct had them priced at $54-something each, but the added shipping and HANDLING charges pushed them significantly higher than the Ebay price. GMPD is known for a rather high surcharge... part...

    Factory Door Sill Nameplate XLR

I've just ordered replacement logo inserts for the sill plates on my V. Both sides have what appear to be aluminum oxidation "scabs" that look sorta like cigarette burns at a few places around the edges. I'd like for this to be avoided with the new inserts. Reckon some kind of clear silicone...

    New Tire Time

Just to be sure I'm clear on this... all four of the wheels on the V are identical... Caddy just elected to alter the OEM sizing on the front versus the back... for whatever reason? Any knowledge as to whether the 255/40/19 sizing is the widest tire that will allow issue-less drivability...

    New Tire Time

In a recent post about rechroming my stock V wheels, I mentioned the time for new rubber was drawing near. This is kinda embarrassing, but when I purchased this Caddy from Carmax it had new tires... Pirelli P-Zero Rosso...in the standard OEM sizes... and I just simply assumed that they were...
