    Help! Question abour Air Intake

JT Thanks for the quick check and reply. Not sure how these cars get enough air to breathe, no wonder a lot of folks opt for after market air intakes... Hopefully all my error codes will stop now that the Mass Air was cleaned. Thanks again.

    Help! Question abour Air Intake

After experiencing multiple problems with Check Engine lights and Service Engine Soon DIC codes I checked the Mass Air Flow sensor and found small debris trapped in between the mesh of the sensor. Cleaned it out and all the codes stopped. I was amazed that the debris could bypass the filters so...

    Help! Engine Air Cleaner

I've replaced the standard filter elements as well, just to ensure I got the best air flow i could with the stock system. As for new intakes, Volant is the only one I've seen. I've heard of performance improvements but usually when coupled with a new exhaust and reprogramming of the car. I've...

    XM Module GM Part Number??

XLR-NUT I've had the same problem, my car had no XM tuner installed. I've tried researching this and wound up searching for used parts, just wanted an XM tuner to run my IPOD through. The best I've come up with so far is that the actual name for the XM Tuner is an "S-Band (XM) digital receiver...

    Oil Pressure

I've noticed it on my XLR as well. Especially when first started and cold, it stays up in that 60 - 75 range. As it warms up it settles back down in the 40s unless I step on it. Seemed a little high to me, but it's consistent, so I assume all is OK.

    Bluetooth into the XLR

XLR28 - I tried the CoSTAR BlueSTAR Bluetooth kit you had discussed at the beginning. I can confirm it works for the 04-05 XLR, mines an 05. Needed the GM Class II kit not the GMLAN-29bit, the OnStar communications were on the slower side of the VCIM. It literally was plug&play, and works fine...

    Help! She Died :(

Thanks all Thanks again for all the input. New battery installed ans she's alive! Reindexed windows, everything looks fine except that 3 of the 4 Tire monitors are reading zero. Breathing again. :dunno: Note to all, two of the three places I went for a battery tried to sell me the wrong...

    Help! She Died :(

Resuscitation Underway - May she live long Thanks for the replies. I hooked it up the trickle charger and the displays showed the battery at approximately 3% 5. 7 volts, as soon as the charger was turned on the underhood light went on. Battery seems the likely culprit. Guess its time to start...

    Help! She Died :(

:dunno: Well walked out to my car and there is no life, door won't open, trunk won't open. Luckily I left the windows open because she's garaged, so I manually opened the door and tried accessory mode, start, lights...nothing. I'm thinking/hoping battery, I bought the car preowned and not sure...

    Muffler replacement

I understand those who changed out their exhaust cat-back to Corsa, D3, Lund or Magnaflow for performance, look, and sound. But has anyone just replaced the mufflers for look and sound? It would meet my budget restrictions, the economy and all... and Internet searches show a bunch of direct fit...

Success - Bluetooth and IPOD interfaces installed

The bluetooth interface cost me $249 It was the BlueSTAR PnP Class 2 kit from www.costartech.com I spent $159.95 for the SoundGate GMPD2 IPOD interface kit at www.logjamelectronics.com but it seems to be the same unit the XFireXLR spotted on Amazon. You will need the power adapter as well if...

Success - Bluetooth and IPOD interfaces installed

:D Thanks to all on the battery information. As promised my update: I now have my IPhone 3G and IPOD working through the XLR's audio and OnStar system. I installed the CoStar Tech BlueSTAR PnP GM Class II kit. Took only about 10 minutes once I figured out which pair of connectors to use from the...

    Help! Disconnecting XLR Battery

Thanks all Wow, glad I asked. I'll be crawling around the insides of my car tomorrow. When all is said and done I should be able to use my IPOD or IPhone for music through the radio, and have Bluetooth working via my ONStar module, I'll report back with the good and bad of it after the...

    Help! Disconnecting XLR Battery

I'll be installing an audio upgrade to my XLR and it suggests that the battery be disconnected prior to installation. Am I in for any surprises when I do this, such as loss of memory settings, needing to recalibrate the window close position, etc. or will the car remember these even after...
