    Trunk latch

It works! Checked out trunk key last night. Found the cable had unhooked from the latch. Re-connected it and worked great. Turned key and trunk opened automatically. Didn't have to buy anything. Thanks for everyone's input.

    Trunk latch

Thanks for the info. Yes, I did know that you have to manually lift the trunk once it's released - just didn't know if the key switch was full mechanical. So now I guess I have to take it apart and see what's going on. Thanks for the info.

    Trunk latch

Is key switch electrical? My key does not manually open the trunck. The key turns in the cylinder OK but the latch does not release. Does the key switch have an electrical connection to it, or is it straight mechanical? Thanks

    Rough ride

Thanks Dan I'm kind of surprised that the computer wouldn't detect a shock problem but I guess that's the way it is. I'll have to check air pressure (think they are OK though) and check for leakage on the shocks. Maybe this summer I will get to meet someone with an xlr and see if there is a...

    Rough ride

No run flats No I don't have run flats on. Bought new Michelins when I bought the car. I will have to check the shocks. Shouldn't the computer be able to tell if the shocks were giving a stiffer ride than what it should be?? Anyways, thanks to everyone for their input.

    Rough ride

My 05 xlr seems to have a rough ride ever since I bought it. Unfortunately, where I am from, there isn't another xlr to drive to compare. It seems that mine is very stiff and not a soft ride as I expected it would or should be. Almost like the shocks are heavy duty or something. Nothing is...

Never the same What a terrible tragedy. Even though the cars will be repaired, they will never be the same as the original. Luckily no one was in the area at the time!!

    removing front fenders

Thanks Thanks Rod for clearing up the adhesive issue and thanks for posting the removal process. Very glad to hear rehab is still going good. Sure has been a long haul, hasn't it? Keep the spirits up!!

    removing front fenders

What about adhesive? Thanks Rod. That sounds pretty straight forward. Isn't there some kind of adhesive used to attach the fenders to something? I thought I read about that somewhere (I think actually you talked about that somewhere). On another note, how is your rehab going? Hope all is...

    40 years later

So sorry I am sorry to hear of your accident. Glad you can talk about it 40 years later. Not everyone would have been so lucky! I hope your Mon was also OK after the head-on. That had to be tough on your family for a while.
