Yesterday I did the same drl lens removal reported by BobbyT. I think it looks fine and others can now clearly see my daytime running lamps and turn signals. Took me about 45 minutes to do both sides.

How did you remove the drl lens??

Thanks. I thought that might be the case, having read about the high/low beams being a mechanical "shutter" on the bulb which I can hear when I change from low to high, but figured it was worth asking in case something was not operating as intended.

I'm new to the XLR community. Recently purchased a 2005. I noticed that in the daytime (with light switch in auto position), the flash to pass feature is inoperative. At night, when the headlights are on, the flash to pass feature works. Is this normal?
