My 2004 XLR radiator cooling fan has a thermal failure problem and needs replacement. My vehicle has the first design fan that does not have the separate control module. Because of this, any type of failure requires that the complete assembly be replaced. After inspecting the fan installation, there appears to be no simple replacement method. The path of least resistance appears to be removal from underneath. Anyone with experience that could offer some advice with this task would be of great help, not to mention sparing me a few skinned knuckles from working in areas needing child size hands. Later models ( after VIN 1G6YV34A755600681 ) are a slightly different design and might require a different approach but any insight would be welcome. Thanks in advance. Xenon bluebeast.
