A Fob Story

Went to use my fob #2 on my 06 XLR yesterday and would not open the doors Figured the battery was dead a it had not been used in over a year. New battery 3+ volts on VOM, no difference. Went through putting fob in slot in glove box ect. DIC said it recognized fob 2 but still would not open doors or start the car. What is my next move other than buying a new fob. The part number on the fob is 10354923. Where is the best place to buy other than E-BAY which doesn't show any for sale? Thanks Doug-J

I have not heard of this being a "common" problem ... but like any electronic, battery operated device that is not used over time - corrosion could be a factor. Have you taken the battery out and checked for corrosion?
