Welcome to the Cadillac XLR Forums!

Important! Aftermarket radio successfully installed

Just my 2 cents worth. When someone typically posts on this site, they describe the problem they are trying to solve including any diagnostics taken up to this point. The more information included in your description of the problem, the more likelihood that you will receive quality replies with specific things to measure and analyze with a diagnostic tool (Tech II). Once the problem is solved, it is greatly appreciated when the OP posts the solution with details behind the diagnostics used and parts replaced.
There are some very detailed posts on folks that have replaced their original head unit with an aftermarket unit with great detail on components and methods. You can either do a search on this site or some find a google search works better. Suggest googling “Cadillac XLR Head unit replacement” and look for links posted on this site.
The reason I post this is that there have been other recent posts asking for members to look up readily available information (owners manual info) or to follow up on something for them. I have seen posts on other forums similar to this and they get no response. We respond to a post because we all benefit when we collectively learn something. This is a self help site with a wealth of information.
