Help! Can the NAV system be updated ?

Hello all, just wondering if the Navigation system can be map updated with all the new maps and locations and/or up-graded to newer version Nav systems ? Thx.

The last GM update for the XLR was 2009. They're pricey on eBay, and I believe still available through GM. So that would make it an 8 year old update that is way out of date
