I feel a bump….bump, …bump…bump at about 20MPH if I go faster the bumps get less obvious but more frequent. Tire pressure in all four wheels is 31PSI. Checked tires (visual inspection) can’t see any lumps. Etc. the steering wheel is steady with no vibration. Any suggestions?

Thanks

no tire expert,,,,,

Big nail in thread? Out of round tire from sitting too long? How many miles on your tires? Stick-on balance weight fell off?

Let us know the outcome when figured out....thanks

Thanks, I think you hit the "nail" on the head! No pun implied.

About two weeks ago I had a flat fixed on the right front tire. I think the tire balancing weight probably fell off.

Thanks again for your help.

tires are flat spotted

There is nothing wrong with your car/tires other than the fact you aren't driving it enough. The run flat tires are made of stiff compounds that develop flat spots when the car isn't driven for a while. Among the possible solutions, the best is simply to go for a drive more often. The tires will go back to their normal shape after a few miles with the tires warm up.

I brought it to Tires Plus today and they put it on the lift.
They found a large bubble on the inside sidewall of the rear tire.
Don't know how it happened.

I needed tires soon anyway so I replaced the tires and it rides perfect again.

I appreciate every ones input.

Thanks again

Well...I guess I missed that one! I have the bumpy ride if my xlr sits for a week or so. Sorry for the bad input!

On the road again,,,,

I should have mentioned a bubble on the outside or inside tire wall,,,,but figured the tires on a XLR are generally hi-end, quality tires installed. I've had that 'bubble issue' several times with relatively new trailer tires, as many of the trailer building companies buy new "blem" tires from the manufacturers.

Anyways,,,glad you are back in business without that dangerous, rough ride...
