Courtesy Lights

My courtesy lights worked as they should for 15 months (since I acquired the car.) Now when I open the door on either side they don't come on? I looked in the owners manual on page 3-33. I really did not see where it was telling me how to remedy the problem.I tried to do as it said by pushing the on and off buttons on the lights, but that did not remedy it either?

I think the book meant to say this button

not the buttons that push up under the courtesy lights. Sometimes after I get service done that button gets hit. So I just press it again and it goes off after a few sec of shutting door. But watch out if you press it again they will stay on. Otherwise try pressing the buttons under the actual lights. Maybe this helps
