Hi; Newbie here. Just sold my 2003 Anniversary Corvette for a 2005 XLR with only 14,000 miles. Trying to determine the color. It's either 46U Shale (Satin Nickle) OR 67U Light Platinum (tarnished silver OR thunder grey)...
If I can locate the code breakdown of the VIN I suspect I'll find my answer? (maybe)?

Welcome to the XLR Net!

If it's a 2005, only Light Platinum or Satin Nickel were available. Thunder Gray was only offered in 2004.

You should be able to find the options sticker under the lid of a rear storage compartment in the trunk. Post a picture of it and/or post a couple pictures of your car. As long as the exposure is ok, it can be pretty easy to tell the difference between Light Platinum and Satin Nickel as Satin Nickel is darker than the Light Platinum.

Found the correct color

Thanks Rob; It was under the panel as you stated. Code is 67U+ 'Light Platinum'...A hard color to get to 'kick-out'; but I'm trying.

FYI; My XLR is in my garage parked next to my 2005 STS; What a pair! The STS has 76,000 miles on her and it runs like a watch...

Rob; looks like that XLR is sitting in a hanger at the old Pease A.F.B. ? (B-47 days). Thanks again.

Which XLR do you mean?
