Welcome to the Cadillac XLR Forums!

Help on center consul.

you just pull up - its just press-fit with clips.

To completely remove it, you will first have to remove the shift nob

Start pulling up on one corner, then gently go around to each corner till it comes up. If you're wanting to take it off completely, you'll have to take shifter knob off first I think a #10 torx driver to take the set screw loose.

Thank you for replies. I only want to get the metal surface piece as it is dented and I would like to try to remove dent from underneath. Do not want to remove whole console . So just pry off carefully ??

Do a search for what you're wanting to do. Damn near impossible to do that as the whole metal part is cemented in. You'll ruin the metal trying to remove it. It's not just crimped on

WOW. Sounds difficult. Thanks for warning. Will try to figure out "Search" Again thanks Hugh
