My 2004 xlr top wont go up checked all labeled fuses suspect switch but want to see if theres a hidden relay when i push the switch either way i get nothing no motor noise.

When you press the trunk open button on the remote, do the turn signals flash? If not, what position is the trunk disable switch in?

What happens when you try with the key? In correct operation, turning the key in that emergency slot at the back will cause the deck lid to rise under its own power.

I had a similar problem with my 2004 XLR the trunk would only open with the key in the rear bumper. Not with the fob, not with the top switch, not with the switch under the steering-wheel and not with the button on the trunk itself. My problem turned out to be the valet switch in the glove-box. Hope that helps.

The turn signals flash the trunk opens by fob valet button and the under dash button ill try the key tomorrow i got caught in a small rainstorm with the top down a week ago and wonder if the toggle switch on the console is shot. Ill try to pull and test it.
