Hey

OK, at start up the IP lights up all the warning lights light briefly and gauge needles sweep. One light I can not identify. It is an orange/ yellow gear shaped icon on the right side above the Theft Warning light and to the left and below the Seat Belt reminder light. Did not see it identified in either my '06 Owner's manual or in an '07 owner's manual. Maybe I missed it? What does that reference light indicate?

dashboard.jpg I can't identify what you're describing

Exactly. Will take a pic of it as soon as I can find a USB with which to downloads the pic . It does not appear in the pic in the manual, yet it is in my IP.....a yellow orange gear shaped icon. not imagining it . Up from the Theft and down and right of the Seat belt reminder .

I was so curious, I went outside and started her up. I never paid attention, but I think it's the IP Cruise Control light.

I typically pay attention to the HUD

Hey

Rex, thanks for the video. No, I know that icon for the cruise control . The one I am referencing is the one, like I said, that is to the right and below the Seatbelt reminder icon and up from the Theft deterrent icon. It is that Gear. I see now it has a plus sign in the center.

What is the "Service Vehicle Now" for, the front end issue you are dealing with ?

BTW, I just passed 66 K on mine.

The Service Vehicle Soon has something to do with the Variable Effort Steering Assist. I'm actually at the Caddy dealer right now

If it was a John Deere...I think it would be the PTO engagement. :D

In most vehicle applications it should mean Transmission Temperature warning. Sometimes the gear symbol comes with an exclamation point in the center, sometimes with a thermometer symbol and sometimes a plus sign.

Best guess anyways

Gary

Transmission temperature warning: The transmission temperature warning light looks similar to the temperature light, but with a gear around it. It alerts you that the transmission temperature is high, which is usually due to low transmission fluid or engine coolant.

Hey

Perfect..... Thank You all. Mine only comes on at start up. : )
