LSX454 Crate Engine

would fit into a 2004 Xlr

Fitting and working are two seperate issues. Even if it did fit, tying it into the integrated electronics could prove to be a monumental task. I've seen one aftermarket engine dropped into an XLR. It was built as a dragster, so the car was gutted and the electronics integration was irrelevant.

If you want extra power, it would far easier to pick up an XLR-V.

Its still $20000 more at least to buy a V so I was thinking of other options.
