Hey all;

I was wondering if someone could help me I need a backup copy or if someone updated there map DVD I could have there old copy? Mine seems to have gone cloudy on the disk and I can't seem to get it working again. I can send you my original copy as well if need be. I was using version 6.0.

Again any help would be appreciated! :worship:

I'll check my version, later today. I'm not sure it can be copied tho. Might have copy protection.
Do you need both eastern states, or western states, or both???

A little polishing action, perhaps?

Tony, a little trick that worked on my map DVD: I buffed it w/ the Meguiar's headlight lens polishing pad and Plastix, and it got the scuffs off of it, after about 20-30 minutes. The GPS worked fine after that, including voice recognition, routing, etc.

Someone suggested taking it to either a used-CD music store or DVD rental place. They have to polish their inventory all the time, and they might do it for a minimal cost. Give it a try.

The Meguires method will work. :cool:

I would need the western states and Canada. THANK-YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Thank-you for the suggestions all but I have tried buffing it as I even have the kit to repair DVD's but this is something unlike I have ever seen as the actual disk has gone cloudy and there is no scratches what so ever on it. It's really weird and I remember reading an article saying that cd's over time can go cloudy and actually deteriorate? It seems like the film itself is expiring...
