New member needs help

I am new and 2005 and about 2 weeks ago I got "In accessory mode" and the car would not move then "Put in Park" for it to start. Been in the shop for week and they can't find the problem. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the safety switch may be bad . Also the brake light switch can be bad . both can keep it from starting
