I want to get my wheels refinished. I want to maintain the stock appearance. Should I have them painted or powder coated? Looking for opinions, pros/cons of both. Thanks!

Paint.

Repairs for scuffs are much more difficult if you powder coat them. Paint is easily done by any ordinary body shop or wheel shop.

agree

powder coat is more durable and will hold up better than paint but things like scuffs and scratches are almost impossible to repair without it showing. Just sell me those wheels and take the money you are going to spend and get some new ones. HAHA I could meet you at the Big Chicken

+1 for paint. The alloy was chipping off my base wheels & a really good local wheel shop went through the options with me. Got the same explanation outlined above & went with sandblasting & painting in hyper silver, which gave a close to OEM appearance. Was glad I did it when one needed repairing shortly thereafter. V wheels that aren’t chromed are already painted, we had the same shop repair one of the painted wheels on our V.

Pic below (shop did the crest painting on their own because they wanted to do something special for me!).
