Pre-purchase checklist needed

I am in the process of looking for my first XLR. Can someone provide a pre-purchase checklist to me? I have searched the site and can't find one.

I would also like a recommendation for someone in the Atlanta area who could perform the pre-purchase inspection.

I am chomping at the bit to become an XLR owner!

CCClarke's reply about using the owners manual and try every button, switch and toggle is the best advise in the post. You can download the owners manuals on this site.
