Rear differential whine

I have had this car since 12K miles. It now has 47K miles, showing. Since I have had it, I can hear a rear differential whine during a quite narrow speed band. Decellerating from about 65 mph to about 60 mph, there is a distinct whine eminating from the differential. Abve 65 mph and below 60 mph, and accellerating, the differential is silent. The symptom does not seem to have gotten better or worse over the 2 1/2 years of my ownership.
Has anyone else on the net experienced similar?

Haven't noticed this problem at all. I got mine with 4700 miles, now it has around 28K.
