Does anyone know how to solve the nav/audio screen glare problem??

I can't read the screen when the sun is shining whether the top is up or down.

I emphasize with you, this is the only design flaw in the car....IMHO.

Many cars have the screen inset further in the dash, which makes a perfect "hood" to lessen the glare problem.

Thanks for the info.
I'll check the contrast settings and let you know as soon as it stops raining and the sun decides to shine??
The screen in my CTS is set back with a hood and there is no glare.

While I know of no way to completely eliminate glare if the sun is shining directly on the screen, I was able to cut it down appreciably (and prevent it from being scratched up) by applying a screen protector I found on eBay.

Sounds like it's worth a try. Do you have more info on the screen protector? Brand name, etc.

Thanks.

Here's the one I bought:

And an informal review:

The anti-glare feature was a big selling point. Since installing it, I don't remember any unwanted glare, unless the sun was directly reflecting off it. It's easy to clean fingerprints off, and prevents wear on the touch screen.

Hope this helps!

THANKS. I ORDERS THE SCREEN PROTECTOR. I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS FOR ME.

Ordered one. Thanks for the link.

I have the same screen protectors and it helps a bit, more so for the protection of the screen.

Well Spring has finally sprung in the Northeast and the sun is shining brightly. I can report that the nav/audio screen is more visible with the contrast turned all the way up.
I am presently waiting for the screen protector to arrive.
Will let you all know if there is further improvement.
Thanks for all the input.:
