Has anyone had the message service stabilitrak on their dash display? Is this a dealer issue or can I attempt the repair? Thanks Tom

Thank you, Just ordered oneThe first step is to have a Tech2 and scan it... you'll probably need the Tech2 to actually start fixing it as well so you can see whats going on. Without it, you're just guessing.

I have that pop up from time to time. The dealer wanted $600 to replace some sensor near the steering column. I noticed that it pops up only if I drive the car hard from a dead stop. So I don't do that anymore. I've had the car a year, put about 3,000 miles on it and maybe have seen it 5 or 6 times. I also notice that sometimes it just resolves itself while driving and turns off and I see a message like "stabilitrak OK". If it doesn't go away I turn the car off and restart and that fixes it as well. My personal opinion on something like that is that if not happening all the time, why go down that rabbit hole? It might make new issues with a car that can be finicky at times. Good luck.Has anyone had the message service stabilitrak on their dash display? Is this a dealer issue or can I attempt the repair?
