Whether my car is running or stopped, every 2 minutes ( I have timed it)I hear a small strange groan, and two, ding dings, that seem to come from the area of the URPA. It's lights are out, and I feel that this is signaling something in the car. But what is it signaling?? It's driving me nucking futs!!! Cadillac wants $89.00 to analyze!!!, and if they repair it, then they drop the $89.00 fee. HELP!!!!

Please forgive me but I can’t seem to recall what “URPA” means.

URPA is the back up warning system. I think I solved the groan abd 2 beeps problem. My cell phone was plugged in in the car for about 3 days and it was warm to touch. I took it out, and no more groan and ding, ding. The car was telling me it was fully charged I guess.

Right! I knew I had heard the acronym before, but it escaped me when I read your original post.

Glad you located the problem.

I always unplug my phone charger from the console port because I have absolutely no confidence that it will shut itself down. Unlike in my 2011 CTS which is much less eccentric.
