Ran across this article on the '57-58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham and it sounded eerily familiar -- "the new plus ultra of American luxury automobiles," very hi tech (power memory seats, power up/down trunk), good sized engine, made only for a short time, not many sold, pretty pricey.

Some things never change! (and that approach didn't seem to work any better then than now) Neat to learn about though.

They have changed some. The Brougham had 5 more horsepower than the XLR!!!
