Having recently purchased a XLR V, I'm preparing for a worst case scenario, towing from home. Would you recommend towing from the front or the rear? After reading the forums, it appears if storing the car for the winter, take these 2 points under consideration as well. I bet the 2 points have been mentioned before on this forum board.

1) Have access to the car without going through the trunk. ie window(s) down, hood unlatched, battery tender.
2) Have the car parked in NEUTRAL in case you can NOT get the car started for whatever reason and needs to be towed. Can't push the XLR when in Park, it's not a Smart car.

A roll back tow truck would not work in my case without damaging my lawn, if unable to position the car correctly. My XLR must make a sharp 90 degree turn from the garage for towing purposes. So for me, I'll just park it in neutral, with a wheel blocked, windows down and covered.

I recommend being prepared for towing, you never know. A roll back is the way to go without a doubt. I didn't consider storing in neutral, but it might not be a bad idea.

FWIW, it's not that tough to shift out of park without power. Remove the shift knob, lift the console, release the lock solenoid with your finger.

Personally, I leave the windows up and the hood unlatched.

This pic is after a major electrical fault and with a full battery. In the summer I don't always put the roof up in the garage.

My XLR is stuck in park, can it be towed and if so what tow vehicle is need.

You need a wrecker with dollies, not a roll back since the rear wheels won't turn. The nose of the car is too low to tow without the dollies. (Had to have mine towed this way back in February) I know firsthand.
