Due to a big gust of wind, the Hood which was up was blown over the roof of my 08 XLR, causing serious structural damage to the hood and ripping out the 4 strut anchors.
It was a pricey repair but the good news is that by changing the VIN to one from a V supercharged car, I was able to obtain the 'bumped' hood to replace the Base Hood. No Base model flat Hoods are available in Canada I was told. Waterdown Collision (ON.) perfectly matched the Crystal Red Tintcoat. I believe all '09 XLR's had the bumped Hood, and possibly, they fit all of the 6 year models of the XLR.
I already have the V grille by Elite.
