What I did to the XLR today

In anticipation of the get together at Uptown Park tomorrow, I got out the Cyclo and went over the car with it and Zaino Z-2 topped off with Zaino CS and Z-8 Show Car Detailer.

Hope Onalaska and everyone else has their sunglasses tomorrow. :lol:

Short cut,,,

Waxing is 'work',,,,,,,,prefer to take the short-cut with Adams H20 Guard & Gloss while washing your ride. No better 'brilliant pop' will be achieved with a wax then with this ultra fine Adams product. Your paint color and clearcoat will dazzle any onlooker, including yourself.
The time you save from waxing, you can spend to clean tires/wheels and the engine compartment which are often neglected. JMO

I agree that using a traditional wax could be work. If I used wax I'd still use my Cyclo to apply and remove the wax, which would cut down on the time spent that traditional wax on/wipe off (Mr Miyagi) requires.
What you are using is a detailer resin that sounds pretty much like Z-8 Pro Detailer. I use this after every car wash on the XLR and a 2012 King Ranch Expedition that still looks like new off the showroom floor. And if you're spraying your Adams' stuff on a wet car you're diluting the end result since it's water soluble.
Unless you get rid of any swirls, light scratches, holograms that are induced by coarse towels or automatic car washes, you'll never get the deepness, pop, and shine that everyone wants. The Zaino method builds up layers of polymers, sometimes resulting in 8-10 layers which gives a deepness that can't be achieved with just a detailer spray. Once those layers are on the car, Z-8 is used to maintain the shine between washes

I can wash/dry the entire car, apply Zaino Z-8 detailer (including the wheels) in an hour and a half or less. The Z-8 lasts extremely well between washes.
If you're happy with the results you get with your method, I'm happy for both of us.
