Help! Wheel and Tires

I just recently bought a 2004 XLR. I want to put the C6 Z06 Rims on it. On another site there is a guy that says he is running these rims in 18 x 9.5 on front with 245/40-18, and 19 x 10 with 265/35-19 rear. Does this sound like it will work? What offset would I use? What offset are the stock rims? I have found a ton of conflicting info on what will and will not work. Help!
