Took the old girl out for a ride today, and my wife, top down A/C on and all this black stuff came out of the vents , old weather stripping? Any suggestions and or solutions?

Welcome to the black gum crowd. Yes, foam gaskets around the a/c vents. It degrades over the years, can't help it. Don't wipe it off, it will smear all over the place. Pick it up. Upholstery cleaner will take it up, just be gentle. It eventually will all get blown out; not worth taking the dash plate or arm rest off unless you really want to.
