My dealer has informed me the ride control module I need is on "national back-order" and they will let me know when it comes in, but they have no idea what time frame that is.
Does anyone know if there are any places that would have this item in stock?
Or, is anyone aware of a Corvette ride...
Not sure if this is something you guys can help with, but I really would like to avoid bringing my XLR back to Cadillac if I can, so I will take a shot.
I had my car in for service to replace the battery, ride control module, and have V series rims/tires mounted and balanced. When I picked it...
Thanks Bill!
It is actually just an amazing wax and polish. Sadly if I go a while with out a good wash & wax there are some flaws visible in the finish. The toughest area is in the lower front bumber. At some point in the future when my finances allow for it I would like to have it re-painted...
Both tricks for operating nav while driving, and watching dvds while driving, were mostly only applicable to the 04 and 05 models. It appears this is also the case in the earlier VIN #s for 06. At some point during the production of 06 models the software was corrected to prevent these...
the hood scoop was hilarious as I read it (hopefully as intended) with sarcasm!
I will sit on the fence with this one. I know verticle doors can be a pretty eye catching modification to set your car apart a bit from the rest, and I have seen kits that open both verticle as well as the same as...
There are several threads related to this topic so rather than start a new one I will just add to the existing ones.
As far as music goes the lockpick is a pretty good application. At first glance it may seem somewhat disappointing considering how many features are offered for versions...
Unfortunately there is only one lockpick that works on the XLR and it is not as feature-rich and capable as the versions they have on there for different and newer models. I will paste my post from an other lockpick thread in case that helps you make your decision its still a pretty usefule...

haha yeah, and thanks again for your help
That is a great deal for a GM cover! I got mine for a little less but its not from GM, I would have gladly paid 125 for that its of a much nicer quality and fits better than mine.
Just my luck!!!
Got an email today explaining to me my money has been refunded and my order has been cancelled! According to "Florence Chevrolet" (Apparently GMpartssite.com uses dealers to ship the products) this part has been "discontinued by General Motors and is no longer available in...
Beautiful pics! I totally agree with the styling.
I was feeling pretty impulsive and love excuses to use my new iPhone so I just bought one from the gm parts site Rod had linked to in his earlier post.
I'll post pics too when it arrives.
from my experience Rod, the windscreen you referenced is essentially the same functionally as the much more expensive ones and gets the job done with out many cons. From there I think its just personal taste, and for some reason I prefer the black mesh over the clear ones. When I google...
haha I think to keeps things less complicated and considering my undying affection towards this machine it has to be personified as a "she"
although the distinction is irrelevant to my girl friend who either way is probably just greatful "the other woman" in our relationship is actually a car
You are the man Rod!
I came accross that site a few months ago and couldn't seem to find it thru google since. Now that I have the part # again I will see what else I can turn up but I think that gmpartssite is the best deal I am going to find on a new one.
Rob, I know you said you were rambling in your post but at one point I thought I was reading a Car & Driver article. Everyone may have their own opinion but you illustrated yours exceptionally well.
I am kind of torn between the two, I agree with many of your points regarding GMs hit and miss...
