Weather my top is going up or down, sometimes the trunk won't close, unless I get out and close it from the trunk button in the trunk.
Sometimes I just release and repress the top button.
Any ideas?

You may have a sensor out of alignment or just need a re-learn on the top with a TechII. Your dealer should be able check it for you.

Happened to me last month. First off, go for a drive of about 50 miles. When I did that, unbeknownst to me, that amount of driving seemed to "reset" the top actions. Another way is using a Tech2 to relearn the top actions. I have an earlier post HERE about the problem I had

Thanks,
Hooked up Tech 2 today, no errors on top, but errors on both my door modules.
I had replaced both my window regulators last year!
Cleared errors, we'll see!!

Problems relating to the rear decklid not operating, (but will when the Folding Top Control Switch is activated) are symptomatic of a sensor (usually a Rear Tonneau pot.) on the hairy edge. No DTCs will be present.

By comparing previously recorded values to the actual values displayed on the Tech 2, you can isolate the sensor and monitor it over time. A re-learn should clear the issue, but if it's going out of adjustment due to misalignment or age, the problem will re-occur.

CC

Can vouch for what CC said - we had a sensor going & the relearns lasted shorter & shorter periods until we had to do it every time we wanted to use the top. Once we hit that stage we got the rear tonneau sensor replaced, all well since then.
