I have a 2006 XLR-V, and I'm pretty sure my ECM/PCM is on its way out. I rarely can get a scan tool to communicate, but it does receive power. Each time I'm able to connect the scan tool, I get a different code. Once, I received the code P0000, and the check engine light was on.

Before I continue with getting a new ECM/PCM I need to know where this thing is I don't see it underneath the hood and I want to know if it is in the dash.

Do I need a Tech II device to Program the Keys or is there another way of doing it.

Component locator attached. Check all your connections first and the condition of the wiring!

As for the keys, I don't know, sorry.

I agree with Gord, check all your wire connections, that could be your problem.
You should be able to program the keys by inserting the FOB into the slot in the glove box on the left side and following the directions in the manual.
