Chinese tech II

Question for the guys who used the tech II. Where did you get the procedure to fix your problems? Was it on the dvd?. The one dvd I got locks my computer. The one that works has a picture of a car and various components, but no actual procedures. I'm assuming that is on the other dvd?. Is this correct? I hooked it up and can see everything but I don't know what to do next. Don't want to trash my ride.

You need a set of service manuals. The Tech 2 is generic and used for many vehicles so vehicle specific instructions are not included.

One of the dvd's has the TIS2000 software that I never got working on my laptop. Haven't really needed it for what I've done. The other dvd I'm sure is a pdf of the Tech II manual that is a waste of time. Without a set of shop manuals or an online database available that Tech II is a paperweight

Concur… shop/service manuals you truly need. I have been searching for a set to use with my 2007. It seems they are in high demand and out of stock…
If you really want to try to use the old Tis2000 software, I recommend you check the thread “Computer and Tis2000 setup for Tech2” on the GMT Nation Forums
