I'm OK with the front and interior styling. The rear looks like something they stole from a Camaro. I would think even the base model would have better performance numbers. But then considering the number of 'vettes I pass on the way to Bobfest every year it is not surprising. You do not need a lot of HP if you never go over 65 :) With a still lower roof line it must be a real bear to get in and out of. I'll reserve full judgement until I see one live.

I "out grew" my vettes. (Got older and heavier) That is why I graduated to XLR. Easier to get in and out of but still built in BG

Where did you see the logo?

Can you post it, or a link to it?

Every time the introduce any new model of any favoured car or truck, I always feel they are 'messing it up' but then after I have seen it around a bit it grows on you. Ask me in 6 months.

When the XLR was first being hyped, the media were talking about a luxury Corvette and I was very intrigued. When I finally first saw the XLR back at the Toronto car show in 2003, I was already in love with the concept of a GM luxury sports car, but I thought it was too angular, too many edges; not like I imagined. It was not long before I started to love those edges and angles: it what makes the car an XLR and this style continues to be reflected in the rest of the Cadillac line of vehicles.

Not surprising considering the XLR silhouette came from the Bowling Green Assembly plant. I'm sure they probably had input on the C7 silhouette after they saw the car they will be building.

Is it just me or does the C7 silhouette logo look familiar?

Here's a pic of the silhouette:

Does anyone have an electronic image of the XLR silhouette? Gizmo 'ya listening?

"Nothing will be the same"

"Nothing will be the same"

Ironic that you quote that, because in the info spread for the C7 on the Chevy site, they say this: "EVERYTHING CHANGES. Confidence elevates the driving experience. It inspires and satisfies. It translates technology into enhanced capability. Confidence changes everything."

Somehow I can see some copy writers sitting around asking, "what's another way we can say 'nothing will be the same'?"

Lots of things looking & sounding familiar . . .

This is what I love about the XLR, the lines, edges and angular design. I don't think those lines ever show properly in photos and why I think the XLR looks so much better in person that in photo.

Sent you a PM

When the 2003 CTS was released, both Amy and I were drawn in by the angles....hook, line and sinker. We purchased a 2004 CTS, a 2005 CTS-V, a 2008 STS (not as angled but still nice), 2006 XLR base, and finally a 2007 XLR-V.

The CTS and CTS-V have moved on but the XLR's will be put in our Wills....and SSCHOOLEY, I don't think my family would want you to have them.

Notice the "direction" of the silhouette? :chuckle Just say in'.
Facing left is the same as the XLR. At least the way it appears on my build sheet and the way it was on a advertisement in the dealers show room.
