Does anyone know the lifetime expectancy of the sump drain plug? This plug does not have a traditional soft metal/fibre washer. Instead, it has an integral neoprene insert, which is raised above the surface of the plug surface.
Thanks,

This style of drain plug has been used on the Northstar since '93. It should last for many years as long as the contact surface of the oil pan is free of burs & the drain plug is not over torqued during installation after an oil change.

Good News ! thank Bruce.
