Escalade noises that shouldn't be there

Hello there. So we have a 07' Escalade in the family. Recently, whenever I'm holding down brakes it makes a somewhat grinding sound. IT's not as Im pressing down, but rather as I'm holding them at a stop light. Any ideas?

Not normal for an Escalade

I don't know what you are hearing or where in the vehicle the noise is coming from but it is not normal. I have owned 4 escalades including an 07 and now have and 11 and none of them have ever made any braking noise even when the brakes were nearing the end of their life. You might want to check with a brake shop or a dealer.
