Fall Drive 2009

[HOMEGAMEROOM]

I'm sort of home - I stopped off at my house and turned the heat on, then went to my neighbor's house for dinner & drinks (I'm still there! Thanks Anna Marie!!!).

It was GREAT to meet the new folks - I sure hope to see you all again! Thanks again to everyone for coming - YOU are the reason any event is successful!!! 27 people was a GREAT turnout!!!!!!!

Thanks, of course, to Bruce & Kathy for all their involvement, help, leadership, et cetera, and THANK YOU to Lockhart Cadillac for their sponsorship of lunch on Saturday.

I'll post more when I get home... unless it's too late. I'm sure I have some great pictures.....

Windi and I just made it back from Madison. What a blast. Great group of people and a great place. Thanks Bruce and Rich for all you did. I case anyone wondered what happened to us on the final drive, We had to stop for a bathroom break, It was an emergency, so we pulled of the road on a side street, everyone passed, and when we took off we got to a T intersection. As you can guess we turned left instead of right, No cell service, and got lost. The gps in the car said 63 miles to Osgood back the way we came. So I pressed Go Home and It took us back through Madison, where we had cell service. We had fun there as we hit a couple winery's and ate lunch at a great restaurant on the river. I hope everybody made it home safe and we look forward to seeing everyone again

It was great meeting you and Windi. You guys fit right in with the group. It's good to hear that you had a good day in Madison. Hopefully we will see you again real soon.

Paula and I were the first ones home, and boy what a reception we had! Nick and Kale were sure glad to see us!

What a blast. It was so good to see our friends and meet new ones. By the way I did ask the Manager at the KWSH if we were allowed back. He gave a resounding approval!

Hey gang! Devin & I made it back home fine (little traffic snare on i-65, but not bad). I cannot tell you how excited Devin was... I heard about it ALL the way home! I, too, had an awesome time! It was great to finally DRIVE my XLR like it was meant to be driven. Thank you Bruce, Kathy and Rich for putting together an amazing experience for me and my son. We will never forget it. Thanks to ALL of you for being such wonderful people and creating friendships that will last a long, long time! We look forward to being able to join all of you on another exciting roadtrip. But until then, we'll stay in touch via the forum.

It was absolutely beatiful seeing all those cars in a line going down the road. I love watching the people on the side of the street walking that stop and watch the cars go by. We even had four kids on bikes that went nuts over the cars.
