Finally after 3 months of patiently waiting and calling. I finally have a date to get my drivers mirror painted. First the claim at the bank. then the autocrafter person said the painter was on vacation. Then i was on vacation. So finally monday i get to take the car in and have the mirror worked on. Geez what a headache. all this work for a scratch on the mirror. :( be glad that im not getting the whole car repainted. Wonder if that'll get a faster response then just having this scratch?

I hope you get it back soon. Any word on when they will complete the repair?

Guessing maybe 2-3 days. Just dropped it of early Monday. So hopefully Wednesday or later today.

They called today. They asked if I wouldn't mind clips on the door. I will only have to pay $6.00. Since the bank cut me a check for the whole 200+ amount. So wondering what the clips will look like. Maybe door guards. They said it'll be on the doors. :duno:

Not a clue what kind of clips they are talking about... post a picture of the clips when you get the car back.

I'm planing on it.

The clips were just the ordinary ones that hold the door panel to the door. The guy said that when they took the door panel off to get to the mirror, those were the ones that broke off. Common occurrence. They always keep them in stock though. Whew I thought it was something that would take away from the lines of the car. It'll be to hot though to drive top less

Yea. they so always break. I also used to keep them in stock when I had my body shop. Glad it wasn't something they needed to hold the mirror on. I was envisioning two large clips around the mirror that attached to the door...:dunno::confused:

Tomorrow is take it for a cruise day. Today's weather and temps are not ideal for cruising, Topless wise
