Anyone know if an LS motor will drop into an XLR: are the engine mounts the same?

My hubby would love to put a Big horsepower - LS w a manual shift behind it into an XLR: assuming he could find a decent car with a blow motor etc. :burnout:

NO, he is not going to screw up my car or any car that does not need help anyway.

....and if anyone cares: heading home/north in a few of weeks, can't wait to get my XLR out....feeling a bit of separation anxiety here....and while I am at it: still miffed that I won't be joining everyone on the outer banks excursion. Make sure all you attendees remember us with a toast :beerchug: to all the XLR-net members that could not attend.....:bawling:
:stupid:

Someone in Saudi Arabia did it --can't remember if it was posted here or not.
May have been done elsewhere, too.

Thanks for the video link. Sadly it does not give any info about how difficult or easy the swap was.

If you search that transplant there is a little info on an ls-1 site. They ended up with several transplants and a few things not working. Original suspension etc.. As done I don't think it gained much if any horsepower over the v model, but it did have a clutch :) and the availability of more mods.

That was my impression, too. One of those ideas that sounds great but doesn't really
justify the time, expense nor the aggravation.
