Just joined so I might as well jump right in. I put an aftermarket stereo in my Seville, a real pain but worth it. The xlr's a whole new ballgame. I read rexster314 had a Kenwood put in his ride and loves it. Looking to do the same thing. Stock nav sucks. I have a Garmin but don't like wires and things all over my console. Question is: does anybody have the wiring diagrams for that install? I saw the adapters they used. Same ones I used for the Seville but I'm sure the wiring's different. Harnesses etc? Same as rexster314, don't care about Onstar, don't use it anyway. Can't find any shops around here that would give it a try. Appreciate any input.

If you get the proper lan adapter, the only thing you have to rewire are the wires coming from the head unit. The older threads relating to this contain all the answers. I don't have a proper diagram as I showed the installers the posts on this forum and they did the rest. The only thing I lost is the radio information in the HUD, which to me was no big deal. PAC-AUDIO makes one that doesn't include OnStar I believe. But if OnStar is not active on your car it won't make any difference.

64, you are the man. Have to print these out and do my homework. I'm assuming the cd player is removed also? You wouldn't happen to know which adapter modules are used with this wiring setup?

my mistake

Scratch my last post. I see the model number. Thanks

Sorry, as I'm reading, I'm thinking. Speaker leads from the new radio, do you know if they used the regular leads or the low level leads. Reason being, I'm assuming you still use the stock audio amp. Too much power from the new unit would probably blow out the amp.

This wiring is to use the factory Bose amp so you would use the the speaker leads from the head unit that connect to the GMOS-06. Not the low level RCA leads

On the slide where it says CD changer 2 there is the last line missing telling you how to connect two wires. I will get that slide to you in it's entirety

I looked at the slides closer and the information is there. I just didn't see it , sorry for the confusion

I think I'm going to have a go a it. Going to round up the parts. But not quite yet, not ready to put my baby to bed. Could still get a few more nice days for a drive. Appreciate all the help. I'll let you know when its done. Again, thanks.
