i'm certain a 295 would not fit. Take a look at the recent c6 c7 wheel thread. A lot of information collected there

I have 285's in the rear, but I don't think 295's would fit... I get occasional rubbing with the 285's so I'm thinking about going down to 275's when I need new rubber.

I suppose you could get 295s to fit with minor body work... mainly you'd have to shave down the inner fender liner, and rework the outer fender a bit with a grinder - you could do it, but I don't know if its worth it... for just an extra 10mm of tire...
