Service steering column lock

Why would you want to bypass the steering lock. Its not a known problem and makes the car easy to steal?

Please read the whole thread... (... and YES, the steering lock is a known problem ;-) )

Funny that it does not show up in us cars. The whole post did not show up when you first posted.i see its only on export cars .

yes sorry, I was referring to the export models...
Same problem have dozens of corvette-owners here

Interesting since US cars dont have the locking steering must be why we never heard of the problem.it would come in handy sometimes.
